I know how important it is to find quality child care. It is just as important for parents to feel good about the child care experience with no worries, as it is for each child to feel safe, happy, loved and special in their experience.
I am a homeschool mother, with an early childhood education background. I worked for one year in a commercial childcare facility and I have provided excellent in home childcare for the past fifteen years. I truly love all of the children whom I am and have been blessed to care for and have wonderful references, upon request. I also have worked with the Sunday school program at our church. I am available Tuesday through Friday, days only please, but specific hours are negotiable. We have homeschool commitments and therefore I am not available on Mondays. I provide safe, fun, educational and loving care in a smoke-free environment. I use many techniques to make learning fun and exciting. Activities that I include are story time and early reading skills, fun with alphabet and counting, science exploration, arts and crafts, colors, shapes and early math skills, music, pretend play, large and fine motor skill activities, as well as sign language, basic French, basic Spanish, daily calendar, active play, and so much more. I also keep a low teacher to student ratio allowing me to personalize a program especially for your child, so space is limited. I use every opportunity as a learning experience and encourage a child led approach. That is, if a child shows an interest in a particular theme or subject, I do my best to incorporate that into our daily activities. Though we focus on an educational experience, we keep things fun and light because I believe that children learn best when they are having fun! I include breakfast, lunch, and snacks and we have special parties to celebrate birthdays and holidays. I will also assist with potty training and any other personalized needs. I do my best to assist you in preparing your little ones for the next phase, school, in a loving, encouraging, and fun environment. I provide daily take-home sheets to let you know about your child's day, along with occasional pictures to share.
