At Creative Nature NYC we use the exploration and contact with nature and recycled materials as starting points for creative adventures for children 2-13 years old and their families. We see children as natural researchers and inventors therefore we co-create our curriculum with them. Our program is project-based and emanates from their questions, interests, hypotheses, poetic languages and experimentation where the lines between art, science, invention blur constantly. As teachers with a background in visual arts and an interest in science, we are interested in encouraging critical thinking through the hundred languages children use to express themselves - drawing, sculpting, painting, movement, rhythm, words, symbols, sounds and others.

- Homeschooling: Creative Nature NYC offers personalized homeschooling art & science instruction this Fall for children 5-13 years old. Our educators have experience developing and implementing curriculums relating art & science for public schools. We explore science notions through art-making and make art based on technology and scientific experimentation. We perform experiments in familiar environments like kitchens and backyards where we provide children some direction, and then allow them to follow their own curiosities.
-Afterschool Art Adventures for ages, 5-7, 8-10 & 11-13
New York has a reputation of being a concrete jungle, but thousands of animal species can be found in our parks. Contemporary artists, curators, galleries and museums are currently making ecosystems and climate change a prolific field of investigation and practice. Art Adventures for 8-10 is a space for children to investigate, ask questions, form and test theories about urban wildlife and the plant kingdom, collaborate and explore ideas with a cross-disciplinary and multi-media methodology including painting, biology, gardening, collage, installation, performance, sculpture, with natural and recycled materials.
