Craven Day Care

My Family:
My name is Anna Craven and my husband is Gary Craven. We have 5 kids and 2 dogs. Mason and Brianna are twins in second grade. Anthony is in 1st grade. Calli is in kindergarten and Emma is 2. Our dogs are Romeo and Juliet and are very friendly and great with kids. We are a very tight nit family. Gary was previously married and had the 4 older children with his previous wife who unfortunately passed away back in 2009 from the swine flu while pregnant with Calli which resulted into Calli having some special needs. Gary and I have been together for the passed 3 years and just recently got married in September of 2014. We are very family oriented and everything we do is for our children.
Availability
Monday through Friday-
drop off no earlier than 8 am and pick up no later than 5 pm.
Payments
Pay day would be every Friday or the last day of the week that your child is watched for that week. Cash only please. One child is $35 a day. Two children from the same family is $50 a day. I will not be able to watch more than 2 children.
Schedule
Every day is different for sure but in general I try to keep things structured but fun. A normal day looks a little like this....
In the mornings after we get settled and breakfast is done we have play time. During play time I encourage lots of educational activities. We use flash cards or sing songs and play games to learn our letters and numbers and shapes or colors. I also have 'My Baby Can Read' DVDs that we watch from time to time. There is also a play area/craft room in the basement. Once we make our way to lunch time we eat and then we have rest/nap time. I encourage a nap. It doesn't always happen. And thats ok. As long as we are relaxing. I let the kids pick out a movie or pick the channel they want to watch and they rest for 1-1.5 hours. Then for the next 2 hours until the other kids get home from school we try to be more physical. Whether it's going for a walk, jumping on the trampoline, playing outside, swimming (we have a medium and small size pool), go to the park, etc..... we try to get all that built up energy out. We have a very big fully fenced in back yard. Then all my other kids get home from school and its homework time so all the kiddos sit down and the little ones color or play with play dough etc so they feel apart of homework time as well. It's not too much longer after that they are getting ready to call it a day and get ready to go home. I do take the kids out from time to time.
