Cradles To Crayons, Llc

Cradles to Crayons, LLC is a NAEYC Accredited and a Level 4 Path to Quality program. We care for children ages 2 to 12 years. We have a full preschool program, as well as before and after school care. We also provide a summer day camp for school age children and care during school breaks.
Our program is the only accredited and Level 4 facility in Danville. The program has been caring for children since 1994, that's nearly 20 years of experience. The original management team is still in place and working hard to continue our tradition of quality child care for our community.
The teaching staff consists of long term employees who are committed to quality care and service. They are participating in continuing education on a regular basis. The majority of our staff members are pursing college educations to increase their knowledge of early childhood.
The Program provides a developmentally appropriate, hands on curriculum which is based on best practice research. Each classroom is structured to meet the needs of the children in that class. The teachers assess each child using a variety of assessment tools from formal research based inventories to informal checklists. The strengths and weaknesses of the children are used to adjust the curriculum to ensure that each child is getting the opportunity to increase a weak skill and improve a strong skill.
The Program fosters peer to peer interactions which agree vital to the development of children. Socializing and working with other children of differing abilities improves the development of all children and is encouraged in our Program.
Families are very important to our Program. We understand that family is the first and most important teacher of all children and we have great respect for those lessons. The staff works closely with parents to ensure that the activities in our facility are meeting the needs of the families as well as the students.
We have family activities every year in which families are encouraged to come together with other families and interact. We host a Family Fun Festival and a Pool party every year where parents, children and extended family members may meet other families and staff in a relaxed and fun environment. Everyone has a great time and we even share family dishes and recipes.
The Program is very proud of its rich history of quality care of the children of our community. We strive continuously to improve and meet the education demands of our changing world.
