About 4 weeks ago, I posted an ad in a local Facebook page inquiring for deep cleaning service for September 3 and a possibility of weekly or biweekly regular cleaning afterwards. I got a lot of message from people offering their cleaning service, including Lizzie who said that she owns Country Cleaning and quoted me the best price for the deep cleaning so I went ahead and scheduled with her. I informed her that my husband is on a night shift so cleaning would have to be in the afternoon, if possible around 5pm. After booking with her, she then informed me that she don't usually work on weekends so she'll have to see if her sitters are available at that time (this should of been my first red flag, but ya know, give her the benefit of the doubt). I messaged her days later to inquire if we're still good for that day, she confirmed we are. I asked her again, what time would be best for her. She reminded me that we already set up for 5pm but she can do earlier. I told her as long as it's after 2pm, I'm okay moving it up a few hours early. She said she already have a sitter set up for 5. So 5pm for deep cleaning it is. The night before my appointment, I asked her what exactly is including with the deep clean? She said she asked her customers what would they like to get done. I sent her a list that I go by when I deep clean my apartment. Now, usually I clean my apartment on my own. I had a heart attack and my movements had been limited ever since. I scheduled the appointment especially on September 3rd but I'm having an open heart surgery the following Friday but needed to go to the hospital on Tuesday for my pre-op. Since Monday is Labor Day, I thought Sunday would be the best day to do it.. anyways, a few hours before my appointment time, she messaged me saying we would need to reschedule because her son need to be in bed by 8:30pm. How unprofessional! Deep cleaning usually take 4 hours, but since I lived in a one bedroom apartment, I usually only take an hour and a half to two hours to throughly deep clean my entire apartment. My apartment is clean and organized for the most part but there are nooks and canny that I could never get to as such mopping the floors, dusting (including dusting my light fixtures and the air vent to the ac). Lizzie is so unprofessional, completely screw me over. I started looking for a cleaner about 4 weeks in advance so I don't stress about it the last minute. I won't ever recommend people to book her.
