Country Bears Daycare

Country Bears Daycare is a Large Child Care Family Home located in the beautifully modeled Lincoln Crossings Community just off of I-65. We cater to children from 3 weeks old to 8 years old. We offer transportation to nearby schools for school age children.

Our daycare is a safe, nurturing environment. We believe that children are a parents most precious possession and as a parent myself, I understand that a lot goes into selecting the right daycare for our children. So let me tell you about Country Bears Daycare. Your child(ren) will be in a warm, loving environment where they will learn and grow each day. We will participate in group activities every day where your child will have fun while learning at the same time.

Our curriculum has been adapted from "The Creative Curriculum." It operates on the belief that the child learns best by doing. It encourages children to learn and explore through use of their senses, such as, touching, tasting, smelling, listening, and looking.

We use materials such as blocks to help the children learn about size, shape, and color. After learning these basic concepts, we teach the children words and numbers, which are more abstract. The curriculum's goal is to teach children how to learn, giving them a valuable tool for success in their later years as well. This curriculum encourages children to be independent, self-confident, and inquisitive individuals.

The owner is Genevieve Zerr. She comes from a large family of children and so has been around children most of her life. She has an abundance of experience in the field of child care and has a passion for teaching children. Her husband Tom also teaches at the daycare and the two of them have a 2 year old daughter. Tom knows sign language and teaches the children baby signing affording infants the ability to communicate before they can speak.
