Continuous Improvement Specialist

Continuous Improvement Specialist consists of Interventionist to provide specific assistance in the form of School Improvement Specialist, Intervention Specialist, Educational Advocate and PBIS Specialist.

The School Improvement Specialist will work closely with the administration team in assisting school leadership in the writing and implementing the school's improvement plan. The School Improvement Specialist will support by coaching/mentoring teachers to support school leadership in ensuring lessons and classroom activities provide a variety of instructional strategies and grouping practices that engage students and allow multiple pathways for students to master the state academic standards. The School Improvement Specialist shall model and demonstrate effective lessons for teachers to improve teaching practices and assist teachers in using various types of data to inform instruction. The School Improvement Specialist will support school leadership in the development, implementation, and evaluation of school programs and assist in the development and on-going implementation of professional development opportunities for teachers.

The Intervention Specialist will work closely with the Intervention team to support differentiation of instructional practices for students. The Intervention Specialist will assist with the MTSS/RtI process, monitor data, and support teachers in the implementation of tier 1, 2 and 3 interventions through collaboration, modeling, coaching and direct services to meet the needs of learners who are struggling.

The Education Advocate shall provide advocacy services with a focus on optimum educational and developmental well-being of all students and their families. Coordinates the management of their respective program's education, enrichment and intervention services, attending Individualized Education Plan (IEP), Response to Intervention (RtI) & 504 meetings as needed advocating on behalf of students and their families to receive all services and accommodations outlined in the IEP, RtI and or 504, provides intensive support to family regarding all education needs.

PBIS Specialist will work closely with PBIS School Coach to implement the overall management of the Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports program including providing training and technical assistance to school teams and PBIS Coaches to maintain and develop school-wide PBIS systems.
