Daycare Center

Conductive Learning Center Of Greater Cincinnati

325 W. 19th Street, Covington, KY 41014

About

We provide opportunities for preschool
and school age children with motor
challenges to achieve optimal physical,
cognitive, and social independence
through the application and promotion
of conductive education principals.

Restoring the interrupted learning
process is not possible without the active
participation of the individual. Passive
exercises or patterns cannot change or
improve the functional stage of the
individual.
The warm child centered atmosphere
filled with music, laughter, socialization,
and developmental play improve the
motor skills, social skills, everyday
independence, and self-esteem.

The 3-5 hour long daily routine 3-5 times
a week gives opportunities to
continuously practice self-care skills
such as eating, dressing, and potty
training as well as the gross, fine motor
and speech task series.

Conductive education (CE) is
based on the theory that the
central nervous system has the
capacity to form neural
connections, despite
neurological damage by
repeating tasks and integrating
intentional movement with
learning.
* The brain creates alternative
paths to send messages to
muscle groups creating the
desired movements.
* Conductive education is an
educational system that has
been specially developed for
children and adults who have
motor disorders of
neurological origin such as
cerebral palsy.
* Conductive education targets
the whole personality and
attempts to build up children's
personalities gradually in a
manner appropriate to their
age.
* In Pet 's system, the individual
is not the recipient of
treatment; he or she is an
active participant in the
learning process.
