Color Wheel Daycare

The Color Wheel Daycare is a State of Maryland approved and licensed in-home daycare facility. Our aim is to help grow your whole child with our four branches of philosophy; art centered, health and nutrition, play based learning and social preparation and interaction. Through age appropriate learning, exploration of the arts, health and nutritional goals, physical activity and social interaction in a safe and loving environment, means that your child will be prepared for Pre-K and beyond.

The Color Wheel Daycare wants to change the landscape of in-home daycare services. After the birth of our daughter Nadiyah Simone and needing to secure daycare services at 16 weeks, we found an in-home provider through word of mouth. As a four month old there isn t much painting and playing one can do. However, we noticed that this and through further research, most in-home daycares lack the professional credentials, structure and routine that one would find at a large daycare center. We are certified teachers with a combined 30 plus years of teaching experience, artists and nutritional food enthusiast and we want to redefine the notion that an in-home daycare is merely a comforting all day baby sitter.

The Color Wheel Daycare is committed to providing its artists and parents with the comforts of home; with a clean, loving and nurturing environment and by preparing fresh nutritional foods and snacks daily. We have a large open air space, equipped with a brand new play scape and plenty of room to run around. We even have a gathering space for our parents to relax, engage and meet one another. Additionally, in support of the State of Maryland Office of Child Care efforts to encourage breastfeeding, we have a designated private and relaxing space for a feeding with your little one anytime you are here.
