After working 14 years in a regular daycare I decided to open my family child care (FCCH) in 1997 to serve families and their children but considering a personal and more private care based on children's needs, their learning and development environment.
Also, I want to respond to a growing need of serving young children in a more appropriate care settings for toddlers and preschoolers rather than large group-care setting, imposed on day care centers.
We, the FCCH and the families work together to expand, to improve appropriate practices, interactions and learning experiences that would prepare our children for positive, supportive relationships, cognitive development and healthy emotional skills.
