About
My name is Colleen and I have 15 years experience working with young children including being a mother myself. My family includes my husband of 19 years, two sons ages 7 and 5, and a 3 year old daughter. We also have three family pets - a bulldog and two cats. My work has included being a nanny and teaching gymnastics and swimming to young children. Presently, I am a preschool Sunday School Teacher at our church. I have operated a family daycare for 7 years now. I am registered and certified through the state which means I have completed the appropriate clearances, attended First Aid and CPR classes, do regular safety checklists and can accept CCIS. I am currently at a Star 1 level attending professional development classes to move up to Star 2 by the end of May. Things that are important to me - maintaining a positive atmosphere for children to learn and grow through exploratory and interactive play, providing healthy meals and snacks and proper hygiene.
