Scott Allan Cohen began his musical studies at the age of six in Orlando, Florida. At the age of fourteen he began studies with Stetson University's. Mr. Cohen holds the Bachelor of Music degree from Stetson University, the Master of Musicdegree with a full scholarship from Tulane University, and is now a candidate for the Doctor of Musical Arts degree with a full scholarship at The University of Kansas. A scholarship recipient at all three institutions, Scott Cohen has received top honors in several national and international competitions including the Debose National (first prize) Orfeo International Competition, Vipiteno, Italy, (first prize) National Finalist at Music Teachers National Association's conference in Chicago, representing the south Central Region Scott Cohen has participated in the Schlern International Music Festival, Voels am Sclern, Italy; the Brandywine International Piano Festival West Chester University, Pennsylvania; the Golandsky Institute, Princeton University; and Musicfest, Perugia, Italy. At the present moment Mr. Cohen Teaches throughout Central Florida. He's had success with students getting accepted in to music schools. He's taught students from around the world during his time as a graduate teaching assistant at both Tulane University and The University of Kansas.
