The mission of Coffman Kinder-Haus is to provide a natural early childhood education for children in a safe and loving home environment. Children will be encouraged to explore and grow at a pace and interest level appropriate for their individual ages and unique creativities. With a focus on pre-primary skills through child-led learning, it is my goal to ensure that your child is ready emotionally, socially, intellectually, and physically for the primary school environment by tending to his/her safety, happiness, and sense of self and acceptance.

Coffman Kinder-Haus implements The Itty Bitty Bookworm, a literature-based curriculum with planned learning experiences that support the social, emotional, physical, intellectual, and language development of each child in care. The chosen curriculum is developmentally and linguistically appropriate and provides for the interests and temperaments of individual children. The curriculum is designed to support primary school readiness with developmentally appropriate exploration in literacy, mathematics, science, technology/engineering, social studies, health and hygiene, and the arts. This curriculum is such that it provides for reasonable regularity in routine but with sufficient flexibility to respond to individual needs and to capitalize on unscheduled learning opportunities. The desire is to provide a relaxed environment of warmth and encouragement that allows children the freedom to explore, use their creativity, have fun, experiment, and discover their world.

It is my hope to share warmth, laughter, and a balance of structure and play in an attentive and homey environment that caters to the needs of each child. My primary goals are making sure your child feels safe and loved and that he/she is mindfully afforded the best possible benefits to grow, learn and develop at an individualized, nonthreatening, and natural pace.
