Sharon is a Charleston native with strong, family ties in the medical community. She grew up on the Isle of Palms. Sharon has a strong healthcare and management background which includes over 30 years of clinical, surgical, legal investigation and supervisory experience in military and civilian medicine . She retired as a Lieutenant Commander, US Navy Nurse Corps in 2006.
