Thorough. Polite. On time. They listened to everything I said and made constructive suggestions. Our place is cleaner than when we first moved in!

For those complaining about the price, you pay for what you get. In my opinion, the service we received was well worth the price (and a decent tip).

I am continuing my service on a regular basis so I anticipate a 5th star in the near future.

CLEAN FREAKS IS FREAKIN' AWESOME.

I wanted to try Clean Freaks several months ago, but this company was so popular that they had to turn away new customers. Now Clean Freaks has the capacity to take on new customers, so I didn't hesitate to schedule an appointment for two reasons: 1) I was impressed by all of the reviews from other Yelpers and 2) my other cleaning service didn't follow through to schedule recurring visits.

To show my appreciation for Clean Freaks, I compiled a Top 10 list of all the reasons why Clean Freaks deserves 5 stars:

1. TOP-NOTCH OWNERSHIP: Ayana, owner of Clean Freaks, is a savvy business woman who runs her business extremely well. She's highly communicative (which I appreciated after my experience with another, less communicative cleaning service), very well organized, and possesses a fanatical focus on delivering exceptional customer service.

2. QUALITY OF SERVICE: I live in a 3,000+ sq. ft. home with hard-wood floors, and dust is my biggest issue. The Clean Freaks crew left no dust particle behind -- their attention to detail was flawless. In fact, for the first visit, 4 cleaners showed up. Given this larger crew (typically cleaning companies send 2 people) not only were they thorough, but they were also fast. You'll pay a little bit more for the initial cleaning, but it is money very well spent. The crew even cleaned the floor as they left the house -- highly detail focused!

3. COST OF SERVICE: The initial cleaning is priced fairly. As I indicated, the first "deep clean" is going to cost more, but the value is definitely there. The best part, though, is the cost of recurring services. I signed up for monthly service, and I was absolutely delighted by the price -- without question, the Clean Freaks recurring service is the most competitively priced cleaning service I've seen in Chicago. (I've tried about 5 cleaning services in the last 2+ years.) I'm *extremely* happy with the cost!

4. GREEN PRODUCTS: Environmentally friendly (and pet friendly) products are important to me, so it was a huge selling point to see that Clean Freaks is an eco-friendly company, certified by the Green America organization.

5. PET FRIENDLY: I have two dogs, which isn't a problem at all for Clean Freaks. I appreciate the fact that they cater to those with pets.

6. LICENSED & BONDED: I wouldn't use a cleaning company that isn't licensed and bonded -- liability insurance is a must, and Clean Freaks has it.

7. AVAILABILITY: Clean Freaks accommodates my schedule and they're punctual.

8. PAYMENT CONVENIENCE: This may seem like a minor point, but I haven't experienced this level of convenience with other cleaning companies -- Clean Freaks will set up recurring credit card payments so that you don't have to think about it each time they visit. The less I have to think about, the better.

9. GUARANTEED WORK: I appreciate the fact that if there is any aspect of the cleaning that I'm not satisfied with, Clean Freaks will come back to my house to re-clean the area that requires more attention -- AT NO COST. The requirement is just to inform them within 24 hours.

10. SUPPORT SMALL BUSINESSES!!! I'm a huge proponent of supporting small businesses, and I am very happy to support this one -- especially since Ayana is a brilliant business woman. I met her when she came to my house for my first appointment -- she's smart, kind and poised for greatness. I can't wait to see this small business become a big business one day.

Their name is just so perfectly fitting! Being a clean freak myself, I was thoroughly impressed with their close attention to detail when cleaning my condo! I've used several cleaning services in the past and usually when I return home to inspect the cleaning, there are at least more than a handful of things that I'm disappointed wasn't cleaned. This is not the case with Clean Freaks, they all those nooks and crannies and edges and crevices!

Also, their customer service is great! They have thorough follow up leading up to the appointment, during and after. There was a big snow storm the day of the appointment so the cleaners ended up being late which meant I wasn't able to let them in but they called a half hour ahead of time to give me a heads up so that we could make alternate plans accordingly. Once they were done, they sent me a text to let me know they were done and where the keys were.
