Hi! My name is Luke. I m 2-1/2. My daddy and I have been living with my grandma, Christine, in a 3-bedroom home on Waterbury Road in Lakewood (1st floor) with a fenced yard with tons of fun things to do and toys to play with and ride on. My grandma has been taking care of me since I was 9 months old. I have a sister, Maryssa, who is 6, but she doesn't live with me. Grandma takes care of my friend, Juliana, a lot. Juliana loves to come over to play and her daddy says she cries at home for me all of the time. I don t blame her...I'm pretty awesome! That s part of the reason my grandma has decided to open a day care. She says I m a really good boy and I m very friendly and other little boys and girls would love playing with me. My grandma had a day care when my daddy was little. She says she always loved it.

My grandma takes really good care of us and has a lot of fun with us. She s warm and gentle and nurturing. She feeds us really good, nutritious, home-cooked meals, pays attention to us and teaches us things. We have so much fun together! Sometimes we go to Madison Park to play on the swings and slides and sometimes go to the pool. At home, we swim in the pool and slide on the slide, ride our riding toys, play with the basketball hoop, we swing in the tire swing, catch butterflies, dig for worms and other bugs, play in our Little Tikes house, shop with our shopping carts, mow the lawn with the lawn mowers (one has bubbles!), dance and sing with our musical instruments (I have a real drum set, too), read books, put puzzles together, paint pictures and do arts and crafts, chalk on the chalkboard, draw on the dry erase board, play games, learn our ABCs and 123s and how to share and be nice to each other. Thursday is garbage day... that s my favorite day because we play "garbage truck chasers" and follow the garbage trucks in the neighborhood. It s totally awesome at my grandma's.

My grandma offers full-time and part-time care (flexible hours available). Unfortunately, she is not able to accept day care vouchers at this time, but she is very reasonable.
