I am a Birth/Postpartum Doula, Child Birth Educator supporting families in the Fayetteville and surrounding area. Often families hiring me to help them prepare for their upcoming birth and provide physical/emotional support during labor. I also offer support during the postpartum time (the weeks/months following the birth).

During covid my care has changed. As of right now hospitals are not allowing additional support into the hospital. I offer in home physical support while the birthing person labors and during the car ride to the hospital. I require that families maintain strict quarantine for all our safety due to the fact that labor support is hands on and in close contact.

Postpartum Care is a unique service tailored to each families needs. For some it looks like light house work (laundry dishes sweeping) for others it's breastfeeding support or meal prep. I have had folks call me out to hold baby while they shower and do their house work. Others hire me to have company and lend a hand with their day to day life after baby has arrived. The work of having babies and raising young children is hard work and as communal creatures we are not meant to go it alone.
