Child Care In The Short Home

I have chosen to spend time at home with my children after working as a music teacher for 5 years.

I have been on the board for summer camps and volunteered at many many functions dealing with hundreds of children over my life.

Music is a huge part of our days. Recent studies suggest that playing and listening to music at a young age improves learning, memory, reasoning ability, and general creativity. Research also supports the theory that young children who are exposed to music develop enhanced cognitive skills. Music teachers are aware that the influences of music go far beyond the intellectual and physical development of the child. Studying music contributes to the growth of a well-balanced child in sensitivity, expressiveness, and the spirit essential for functioning in a complicated world.

I incorporate Music For Little Mozart's piano lessons into our everyday activities. (Children age 3 and up will get the opportunity to start reading piano sheet music)

As well as simple crafts and other activities that challenge the minds of our most precious people.
