Cheverly Weekday Nursery

Cheverly Weekday Nursery provides a comprehensive early childhood program designed to meet social, emotional, physical, and intellectual needs of the young child. We provide children with a place to grow outside the home, and help our students learn more about themselves in relation to other children, to adults other than parents, and to the world around them. We strive to help children grow in the richest, most satisfying most constructive way possible while preparing for kindergarten. We believe young children learn best through play. Play-based learning is hands on and develops independent thinking, self- sufficiency, and social and emotional maturity. It encourages enthusiastic exploration and creative expression. WDN features a wide range of free play areas including water play, sand, dramatic play, blocks, science, manipulative games/toys and books. We encourage freedom of choice as each child selects his/her activities. In addition, the children enjoy literature, art, music, and out door play daily.
