Chess Creek Kennel and Pet Resort is a family owned and operated boarding kennel. Stephen and Nikki have owned dogs all of their lives and live on a small farm in Lunenburg County. Nikki facilitated and supervised the Save Our Shelters Pen Pals program at Lunenburg and Brunswick Correctional Centers for 5 years. This program rescued shelter dogs which were trained by correctional inmates in basic obedience. The dogs were then adopted by families in the community. The Pen Pals program is now operated by Fetch a Cure and is called Pixie's Pen Pals. The love and care of animals has fostered our vision to develop a quality boarding kennel in Lunenburg County.

My Baxter has been going to Chess Creek for over 7 years and I recommended them to friends and Clients for their Pets boarding. Very reasonable and are on site overnight & that's important for my peace of mind.
