Hi!
I am looking for one infant under 5 months old to care for in my licensed home daycare, in Andover, MN. I have an infant-toddler specialized class license, to provide the best infant and toddler care possible with joyful, nurturing individualized attention. With my degree in Early Childhood Education, my experience as a licensed early childhood infant teacher, maturity and calming demeanor, I feel very confident in my abilities to provide quality care for young children.
I have worked very hard to provide a pleasant, beautiful atmosphere for very young children. There is lots of natural light, large windows, imaginative toys, and a large backyard. I use observation and assessments to provide educational activities that are optimal for the individual child. Infant sign language, lots of narrative language, and developmentally appropriate positive guidance are used daily along with an enriching and appropriate schedule for infants and toddlers. I include sensory play, spatial reasoning concepts, non-processed art exploration, music and movement, and keep the television off!
I participate in the federal food program and make nutritious, home-made baby food. I have a knack for fostering creativity, even in young toddlers. Above all, I believe in providing authentic learning experiences that strengthen not only the child's self-esteem and cognition, but also prepare the integral roots for pro-social behavior and emotional intelligence potential.
This has been my dream and I feel very fortunate to share my value with other families.
