Our Camarillo-based company provides Respite Care, similar to caregiving, to children with special needs who live with their parents. These children carry a diagnosis classified as a developmental disability, such as Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy or Intellectual Disability. The state-funded services are free to the participating families and the services allow parents to take a break to spend time with their spouse, friends, other children, run errands, or just relax. We also help families with children who have more challenging (behavioral) issues as well as Foster Families. Now in our 10th year of helping local families.
It is the ideal entry-level job for Psychology, Education, Nursing and Sociology students because they set their own hours and get 1:1 training from the families in a home-based environment with a focus on having fun and providing a learning environment.
