We're a family daycare with a preschool setting and a simple philosophy. Our daily emphasis is to teach young children to feel comfortable, secure, independent and self sufficient. We teach children to excel in all tasks. We believe children are little sponges, that learn, absorb,and retain both positive and/or negative behaviors. We focus and reinforce the positive behavior and discipline the negative. Yes, discipline, (timeouts) and or loosing privileges are a must in child rearing. Parents need to feel comfortable with discipline, doing so, encourages the "Self Confident Child" ... instead of the "Insecure Child" that only knows to cry to get the grownups attention.
