Cde Co-op Preschool

OUR MISSION: Our mission is to provide children with a developmentally appropriate preschool experience in a safe and nurturing environment. This tradition of creating life long learners is a mission to which Chester, Deep River, Essex Co-Operative Nursery School has remained true for 70 years.

In our spacious, multi-age classroom, children participate in centers designed to build skills in key developmental areas. Play is an essential part of early leaning and as your child engages in play he or she will build cognitive and social pathways that are critical to academic achievement.

OUR GOAL: Our goal is to foster the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional growth of children in order to prepare them to become learners in the 21st century.

Based on the hands-on theories of Piaget, the Connecticut Early Learning Development Principles, and Common Core Standards, our curriculum prepares children for success in math and science and achieves literacy standards.

An optimal teacher/child ratio allows our staff to address the abilities of each child and facilitate the development of skills intended to promote academic success.
