My name is Chira. I am a child magnet and I am excited to be partnering with you in the important decision of who will care for your little one. First let me give you a little background about myself. I was the proud owner of Cave Bear Junction, an in home family daycare. I've decided to branch out into being a nanny. I have always had a passion for children. My first job when I came to CA was as an Au Pair. Also, I was the go to babysitter in my youth, as well as a preschool teacher and a Sunday school teacher. I wanted to be a special Ed teacher, but before I could pursue that, my late husband and I adopted a child. As I wanted to be with my son, I decided to open up a home daycare business. We had a great time and great memories were made but as fate would have it, my son had special needs and I needed to give him my complete attention. Off and on for the last 20 some odd years, I have continued with the daycare, but since my husband's passing this year, I've decided to become a nanny, and concentrate on one or two children at a time, instead of 8, even though I am still licensed and current. I continuously renew my CPR and First aid every two years. I am currently seeking a family with an infant, as I feel that infants need to have much more one-on-one attention, allowing them to bond with the important people in their lives, and to enhance their development. As a parent, I understand how important it is to find a person you trust and can communicate with about your child's needs.
