I am a stay at home mom with a preschooler and twin toddlers who would love to do in home care for one family. (1-2 kids, preferably over 1 yr old) We are a bilingual Spanish speaking family. We sing songs, count, etc in Spanish as well as speak Spanish around the table at meal time. (I have been speaking Spanish for 20+ years and my husband's first language is Spanish. I studied it in school and in Mexico as well.)

My undergrad degree is in Ethnic Studies. I have previous nanny and babysitting experience and come from a family of teachers. I am currently looking at curriculum to include at home for added stimuli for the preschoolers.

A schedule and routine helps kids feel safe and get their daily needs met. Within that I believe in lots of free play, outdoor time all year round, walks to the park, getting dirty, healthy food (sometimes organic, sometimes not). Walks and lot's of play in varying environments are helpful for kids to learn, grow and stretch. We read lots of books and go to the library frequently. (I think only one additional car seat could fit in our van right now so if 2 kids we will stay on foot.) The TV is on sometimes, but I really feel TV isn't great for growing minds so I keep a limit on it and try to ignore it. If it is on it's Daniel Tiger, PBS, etc. I am also a practiced babywearer and can wear kids on my back as needed. For toddlers I would just use it if they were feeling sick or needing extra cuddles.

Right now we are signed up for ECFE on Friday mornings. I would really like to keep that commitment. We can do 630am-5pm Monday-Thursday for $150 and talk about adding additional time Friday afternoon or Saturday morning for additonal $.
