I started babysitting when I was in junior high. I have also worked in the church nursery when I was in high school and also currently help in the nursery at my church. I have watched children ranging from ages of infancy to 13 years old. I also help with the children's program at my church, age ranges from preschool to 5th grade.

Currently I have two children of my own. My son is 7 years old and in 1st grade, and my daughter is 4 years old and in her first year of preschool. I used to babysit one of my son's classmates until his family moved back in October (2012). My daughter has a friend over on a pretty regular basis for play dates and sleep overs.

I enjoy spending time with children as their enthusiasm and zest for life amazes me. I love watching their minds work, whether it be a creative story they're telling or the games they make up to play.

When the weather is nice we try and spend as much time outside as possible. My son enjoys baseball, kickball, and hide and seek. My daughter likes to play with bubbles and sidewalk chalk. Both enjoy playing on our swing set, or going to the nearby park. My daughter also loves to color so we always have lots of markers, crayons, paint and paper in the house. My son enjoys playing with his toys, but is more about making up creative games, such as something similar to volleyball using a balloon.

Reading and music are also a big part of our family. We read and sing every night before bed as part of the kids' bedtime routine, besides other times throughout the day. My husband plays guitar and sings for our church worship team. I also sing.

My home is smoke free. We have taught our children it is important to treat others like they would want to be treated.
