Carrie's In-home Childcare

Hi everyone! I am a certified teacher who resigned from teaching 8 years ago when I had my first child. I was unhappy with the childcare options available to me, so I chose to create a loving, educational, and home-like environment for my own child and other families like mine who were looking for a better childcare experience. Since then, I have had the opportunity to be a part of some wonderful families. My husband recently began teaching in Perkiomen Valley School District, so my family made the decision to relocate to the area. I am hoping to continue providing exceptional childcare in my new location.
Before resigning from teaching, I taught first and second grade in the Philadelphia School District. Prior to that, I held several positions in Early Childhood Education, including: Director of Fairy Tale Academy in Upper Darby, Head of the Early Childhood Department at Nativity BVM in Media, and Lead Infant Teacher at the Goddard School in West Chester. I absolutely love working with children, and I couldn't imagine ever doing anything different. I am looking for 2-3 children to care for. I have always kept my group small at no more than 5 total children (including my 8 year old daughter and my 3 year old son). We enjoy many fun, educational activities throughout the day, and each child gets tons of individualized attention. I am very sensitive to families who are leaving their children for the first time, as I know it is one of the hardest things for a parent to do. I keep an open line of communication with parents throughout the day, and I will provide you with a daily outline of your child's day.
