My name is Cherylann Carey and I am the owner-operator of Carey Care. I have provided day care for over eighteen years at my East Bridgewater home. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree from Bridgewater State College in health and physical education. I have three daughters. My youngest is a senior at Holy Cross and was recruited to run track during the winter and spring seasons. My middle daughter graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Science Degree in early childhood education. She was a cheerleader at U-Conn and had the opportunity to cheer at two bowl games as well as the NCAA Final Four during her senior year. She is currently a kindergarten teacher and earned a Masters in Early Childhood Education this spring. My oldest daughter graduated from Bates College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in english and education. She earned her Masters of Arts from Bridgewater State University and is currently teaching advanced placement english and coaches at the high school level. She is married and living in Massachusetts with her husband and infant son.
My mission is to provide a safe, loving, nurturing environment for your child. I feel very strongly that the environment I provide is a home-like setting. I will provide a lightly structured environment where your child's comfort and safety are my most important concern. I will help each child work on developing their social and self-help skills, such as: manners, self-control, sharing, self-feeding, buttoning and zippering. Each child has his or her own strengths and skills and I will acknowledge their individual abilities. Some of the activities they will take part in include: reading books, story time, singing, circle time, puzzles, arts and crafts, painting, games, pre-school & pre-kindergarten activities, walks and out door play. This environment allows children to explore the world around them in their own unique way. I hope your child will enjoy any time spent with my family and myself.
