Camp Roots is a little bit Waldorf, a little bit Montessori & a little bit Reggio, all with an emphasis of cultivating a love for all that nature has to offer. At the root of our philosophy is our belief that children are competent individuals who can construct their own meaning of their experiences. We believe the teacher s role is to provide the environment for discovery, creativity, imagination, and learning. Camp Roots teachers model respectful, mindful, effective communication as well as kindness, acceptance, and consideration for others.
Every day at Camp Roots we emphasize exploration, discovery, creativity, mindfulness and imagination in a supportive enriching environment based on the interests of our campers.
