We will be running a summer camp/pod at Kips Bay Towers and we are so excited! It will be run by me(Micah) and Zena! We are two childcare and education professionals with extensive experience at camps, in schools, babysitting, and in the arts. We'll be teaming up to create engaging and enriching activities for our campers. Our camp will be small (10 campers max) but this will allow us to be flexible with our programming and keep our campers close knit.
Each week, we will introduce a new theme that will guide the art projects, music, dance and theatre activities. With such a small group, these will be malleable and based on interest. Everyday at 1:00 we will have an hour class and those interests will rotate.
Field trips will all be accessible by bus or ferry and 30 minutes or less travel time. Field trips may include: boating at Central Park, central park zoo, The MET, the Empire State Building, Brooklyn Bridge Park, Pips Island, and the Math Museum.
