Camp Dovewood

Camp Dovewood is a dynamic Christian camp for girls 7-16 in North Florida on 250 acres of beautiful wooded rural land. We have miles and miles of walking and horse trails. Not only do we offer over 24 fun-filled activities to choose from, but we also have one of the best equestrian programs in the southeast. With 32 horses and a curriculum filled with: trail rides, horse shows, rodeo riding, English and Western instruction, dressage, vet care, grooming and stable management, one can enjoy our riding program if they are a beginner, intermediate or advanced rider. All of our counselors are Christians with loads of talent and are certified as: lifeguards, cheerleaders, riding instructors, gymnasts, musicians, dance instructors, teachers of photography, Bible, Christian drama,Christian leadership classes, archery, tennis,basketball, volleyball, soccer, art, water ballet,swimming instruction, great books (outstanding Christian books on your child's reading level)Campers enjoy fantastic horseback riding trips to the Suwannee River and Little River Springs. We go river rafting rafting on the pristine Ichetucknee River as well as enjoy trips to Troy Springs. Dovewood is accredited with American Camping Association, Camp Horsemanship Association, and a member of Christian Conference Association. This year we celebrate 35 wonderful years of Christian camping 1977-2012.Dovewood offers one, two, three and four week camping sessions. We have a full time nurse on duty and all of our staff are certified in CPR, first aide and water safety. Our log, cedar and pine cabins are perfect for young ladies wanting to polish their talents and have one of the best summers doing exactly what they love to do.
