My name is Jennifer and I am a certified teacher in both Ohio and Kentucky. I received my Bachelor's degree from NKU in Early Childhood Education. I continued my education by receiving my Master's degree in Education Administration from Xavier University. I spent the past 8 school years (2006-2014) teaching at an elementary school in Kentucky. I spent three of those years teaching 2nd grade and then spent five years teaching reading intervention to students struggling with reading.
This school year, I decided that I wanted to open my own childcare center in my home. We converted our finished basement into a childcare/preschool and I am currently watching several children.
We focus on the importance of learning responsibility, respect, manners, and making good choices! I also spend time working with the older toddlers on recognizing colors, letters and sounds, numbers, writing, and early phonics and math! I love that I get to work with each child individually and that I am able to move at each child's individual pace! We also spend time doing seasonal crafts, which the children love.
I am located on the West Side of Cincinnati, in the Oak Hills school district. I am available to provide childcare Monday-Friday from 7:30 am-5:45 pm. Also, I am certified in Pediatric First Aid/CPR through American Red Cross.
