Busy Bees Learning Academy

Busy Bees Learning Academy is an in-home learning environment for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years. We want all of our children to thrive in the areas of social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. We will do this by utilizing developmentally appropriate learning materials as well as the concept of self-discovery. Busy Bees Learning Academy will incorporate sign language into our every day activities as well as provide an educational and nurturing experience for the children.

I have obtained a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Wayne State College in 2010. I am currently CPR and First Aid certified. I have been working with children for over 8 years. Four of those years have been in childcare facilities. Throughout my experience I have worked with children ages newborn to school-aged. Some of my responsibilities while working in homes have been cooking, laundry, dishes, bathing and bedtime rituals. While at centers I have a lot of experience with diapering, meal times, brushing teeth, potty training, creating lesson plans and newsletters, and baby sign language. I am trained in Conscious Discipline which focuses on positive reinforcement and also creative curriculum. I love working with children and I am very passionate about what I do. I will give your children the best possible care!

I plan on taking children in August of 2014, ages 6 weeks to 5 years.
