Our math, science and SAT/ACT test prep tutors come from some of the best universities in the world. All have a Bachelors Degree and are working on, or have completed their Masters or Ph.D.
Our reading tutors all have their Bachelors Degree and are working on, or have completed their Masters Degree in Reading, Special Education or Education.
Subject tutoring is extremely beneficial for students who are struggling. All too often, students do not get the help they need in order to succeed. Large class sizes, and limited resources end up negatively affecting our students. With 1 on 1 tutoring, by experts in their area, we have seen our students make leaps and bounds in their classes and on their standardized test scores.We have also had success tutoring in small groups for students who are in the same class, or friends preparing for SAT/ACTs.
Bulldog Tutors now offers reading and writing tutoring. We have worked with ESL students of varying ages who have been in the country for less than a year, who have realized ESL classes are not sufficient. We also tutor students who are preparing for college who need help in their AP English classes and with writing college essays. Lastly, we are prepared to work with student with disabilities as we provide tutors with Special Education degrees.
All of our tutors have obtained, or are in the process of completing advanced degrees. We understand what it was like to apply for college, graduate school and PhD programs. Therefore, we are able to guide our students through the process. All of our students have their tutor's contact information and are encouraged to reach out to their tutors when they have problems in class, when applying to college or if they have a question when studying. We believe in a holistic relationship with our students in order to help them reach above and beyond their goals.

Bulldog Tutors helped me become more educated and prepared for both the SAT's and ACT's. Both of my tutors, Dan Rosa and Mike Newcomer, spent a great deal of time to make sure I fully understood each question I had, and led me to understand material that I was not confident about. They both took their time explaining the reasoning behind each question, and gave me strategies to prepare for the SAT's & ACT's. They were very patient with me when I had difficulties and provided me with strategies to improve my reading, writing and math skills. I would recommend anyone who needs a tutor to go to Bulldog Tutors because they care about helping each student and provide individual, 1 on 1 attention. I feel very confident after being tutored for only a few months, and felt very prepared when it was time to take the SAT's. Thank you both, Mike and Dan, for having patients and spending the time to help me do well on these tests!
