Brown Home Daycare

I am a licensed teacher and certified childcare administrator. I obtained my BS in Middle Grades Education from NC State University in 2010. This year I added on my certification to teach infants and toddlers as an onsite daycare administrator. I have teaching experience in an 8th grade classroom as well as Chesterbrook Academy where I worked with children ages 2 to 10 years old.

I have a 2 year old daughter and an infant son. I recently began an academic and daytime curriculum with my daughter. She is enjoying the individualized learning experience and I wanted to expand my services to others in the community. Our day consist of arts and crafts, manipulatives, English (grammar, spelling, pronunciation), foreign languages including Yoruba and Spanish, music, sand/water play, and gardening.

Along with my passion for growing young minds, I enjoy fitness, cooking and reading. I am very passionate about the benefits of an organic diet, connecting with nature and developing confidence in myself and others. One of my strengths is discovering and using a child's learning style as a tool for their academic success.
