Bright Bilyeu Beginnings

I am located off of 6th and Perry (Denver/Lakewood), quick 6th avenue access. BBB Currently has availability for 2 full time kiddos aged 2-6 and 1 under 2 slot starting September/October.

I am excited to help guide and educate children in an environment where they are comfortable to learn so they can enhance their own ability to solve problems and think critically. I believe that children learn best when they are taught under certain conditions and in certain ways. Some of these conditions are a safe, family friendly environment with interactive curriculum that inspires children to want to learn new things. Some ways in which children learn best are in groups so they can learn from each other and open their mind to new ideas. The curriculum of any classroom should include certain "basics" that contribute to children's social, emotional, intellectual, and physical development. These basics include a safe, clean, easily accessed, multicultural classroom where everyone knows the expectations and boundaries. Children are like sponges and they like to absorb everything that is introduced to them in a fun, creative, healthy way.

Qualifications:

I graduated from Metropolitan State College of Denver with a Bachelors Degree in Applied Behavioral Sciences. I am a Certified Early Education Teacher. I have taken Medication Administration, Universal Precautions, CPR, and am First Aid certified. I am knowledgeable about how to administer everyday treatment and handle emergencies especially with younger children. I love working with children and guiding them to be creative intelligent people.

I use Montessori philosophy with the children in my care as well as ASL Sign Language. I believe that "children learn by doing" so we go and do something different at least 3 times per week. We work on personal independence and household responsibilities.
