Bright Beginnings

At Bright Beginnings we are a loving family daycare with a structured program. We focus on outdoor activities during much of the day. My program is designed for the active child who likes routine. A typical day consists of quiet television time in the morning while the other children are arriving. Breakfast is served around 8:00 AM, followed by an organized activity such as coloring or mega blocks. Preschool activities are done for the children 3 1/2 years and up. Outdoor play and/or walks to the park are done daily depending on weather, with a snack mid-morning. Lunch is served around noon with naps to follow for the smaller children and quiet time for older children. Afternoons include some form of art or other organized activity such as outside games or crafts. Afternoon snack is around 3:00 PM.
We have a lot of fun and manage to squeeze in all the things that go along with a family as well as have a structured childcare routine. We include trips to the grocery store, bank, and library during the week along with our trips to the park. We do a lot of walking every day. Walks are an important teaching tool, as the kids learn to observe their surroundings, note daily and seasonal changes, and understand how to be part of a group.
My daycare children become a part of my family while they are enrolled in my program. I expect them to follow all of my rules (they don't seem to mind) and I love spending my days with them. My goal is to be honest and communicate daily with parents so we can all benefit from our time together in my program.
