About the business
In-Your-Home Specialized Childcare....
...to include children with autism, FAS/FAE, learning disabilities, ODD/explosive disorder; developmental/developmental behavioral disabilities along with low incident genetic syndromes and social-emotional/trauma...their families/caregivers and siblings....
I provide In-Your-Home childcare for children with ongoing medical need/fragility and children with persistent feeding; toileting and sleep related concerns
_________________________________________
I also offer support to Seniors with medical fragility and/or early onset/dementia with often accompanying issues related to depression, disrupted sleep/eating and self-harm behaviors to include eating/failure to thrive and personal safety.
Communication is key and can quickly break down as early onset progresses. I will help design and implement effective augmentative communication systems to uniquely support the individual and family.
As a Disability Specialist using the principles of Universal Design, I will look at the person's primary environment to help increase independence, comfort and safety.
Effective dementia care and related services must be individualized to the person; his/her primary environment(s) based on his/her personal history AND those most important in his/her life. Medications can help but can also and quickly become very counterproductive as more medication continues to be added without understanding the reasons for what is happening.
_________________________________________
I also offer medical advocacy with regards to physician/medical appointments and in-patient care for both children and seniors
