Teaching is my passion, and seeing students "get it" is my joy!
My 20+ years of experience in admin/teaching/tutoring covers many levels and a variety of subjects. Close work with students in their areas of challenge requires patience, yet a high standard of success. My many years in the classroom and as a school administrator have given me much understanding the expectations of teachers; as your child's tutor, I can help your child meet and exceed those expectations.
My schedule is fairly flexible, and I make myself available during the week for your child to have assistance as needed throughout the week. My academic experience is reflected in the subjects below.
Math - elementary math, Pre-algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Trigonometry, Pre-calculus, Calculus
English - elementary, middle, and high school grammar, writing, spelling, literature, with essay- and research-paper preparation
College entrance testing - SAT, ACT, PSAT, standardized testing (reading comprehension, math, writing/language arts), ISEE, HSPT
Foreign language - French, Spanish, English as a Second Language (ESL)
