About the business
College Readiness & Financial Aid Guidance for Students and Parents (Free Group Sessions Available)
If you're interested in helping your child, get a head start on their college journey, I offer free services focused on college readiness. These services can be provided in group settings and cover essential topics like:
College preparation
FAFSA and TASFA applications
Grants and scholarships
Student and Parent PLUS loans
Work-study opportunities
Other financial aid resources
As a professor of sociology and a former financial aid specialist, I've spent years counseling, educating, creating budgets, and assisting both students and parents with financial aid awareness to help them navigate the entire college funding process. I've also formed a dedicated team of financial aid and scholarship specialists who host free presentations and classes to guide families through the intricacies of FAFSA, scholarships, and other financial resources to make college more affordable.
In my experience teaching dual credit students, I've seen how many are unaware of how to finance their education. This can result in students being dropped from classes due to a lack of funds. To address this, my team and I conduct year-round presentations to bridge this gap and empower students and parents with the knowledge they need to succeed.
My Bridge the Gap Initiative stems from a personal experience. When it was time for my own daughter to prepare for college, I was unaware and unknowledgeable about financial aid resources, and we struggled with the process. This inspired me to become a financial aid specialist and professor so that I could not only help my daughter but also assist other students and families in navigating college finances.
My purpose is to intentionally give back to students and families, which is why my seminars and classes are offered free of charge. I believe that every student should have access to the resources and knowledge that will help them succeed without financial barriers.
I look forward to working with your child and helping them achieve their college goals.
