About

I am a fun and responsible stay at home mama to my infant daughter (born January 2015), and I am looking to help with your family's child care needs! I currently have space in my home for an additional child, either infant or toddler. I am flexible with days and hours.

- My Philosophy -

My goal is to provide kids with a loving, stimulating, and safe environment where they can explore and learn through experiencing their environment. I like to fill our days with music and dance, arts and crafts, outside time, and reading, but I also believe deeply in the importance of independent play time.

- My Experience -

For the past few years, I have worked as a nanny, a babysitter, in a day care center, and as a mama! I can provide references upon request.

- My Education -

I recently graduated from DePaul with a degree in economics and have also completed graduate coursework in early childhood education, including courses in child development and curriculum design.

- My Home & Neighborhood -

My husband (who works outside of the home all week), daughter, and I live in a two bedroom apartment in Ravenswood. We have a dedicated play space in our living room which is Montessori inspired and completely baby proofed to enable safe exploration. We have a fenced in outdoor space attached to our apartment where we have water play and can run around a bit.

Between the two bedrooms, the crib, pack n play, and bassinet, there are various options for napping arrangements. I am open to discussing providing meals for an additional weekly fee.

We are within walking distance of many great kid friendly activities in Ravenswood, Lincoln Square, and Andersonville, including Winnemac Park's playground and green space, the public library, and various spots that hold "story time."

*Note: We have a cat. Our daughter adores him, and he is excellent with her, though he generally just keeps to himself. He is an indoor cat and up to date on all shots.
