Brave Arrow & Friends Learning Center

My name is Kari Morgan and we are a home based childcare center with a Reggio Emilia based learning approach.

We offer an arts based age appropriate curriculum for math, language arts, music, science, and history. Our children have constant access to an art station for constant ability to express themselves thru the arts. We encourage all types of art mediums; from watercolors, clay and paper m ch , to sketching. We also focus on teaching our children skills they can develop as older children and adults, such as knitting, sewing, and wood working.

Our mission is preparing our little arrows to approach life with bravery and courage, to love learning, and to be given the tools to grow and develop into strong individuals, in body, soul, and spirit.

We provide organic, farm fresh, gmo free meals and snacks. We can cater to a gluten free diet or most any other dietary needs. Processed foods, corn syrup, and artificial colorings are strongly avoided in our home, and we feel these choices greatly impact our children's learning abilities.

Our home is conveniently located in central/east Carson City, near Hwy 395 for easy access to Reno and surrounding areas.

We live on a full acre, and are in the process of acquiring goats, chickens and rabbits for our learning environment. Fun fun!

We homeschool our own children, (ages 9-16) and having little friends join us on our journey is an added blessing.

I have a BA degree in Early Childcare Administration, as well as over 20 years experience in the childcare and school setting. I have chosen to stay home with my own children, and while it is a financial sacrifice, it is one I do not take lightly for its rewards are great.

My husband is a licensed minister, and we are heavily involved with our local church and youth group.

I am CPR and first aid certified(former EMT), and have a background check on file with Children's Cabinet of a Nevada. I am currently seeking licensure with the state of Nevada for a family home daycare, as we operated one successfully in California which is where we recently relocated from. In the meantime, we can accept up to 4 children in addition to our own.

Our hours of operation can be flexible; however, we maintain the schedule of 7am-6pm Monday thru Friday.
