About Us:

Bookworms Interactive Storytelling, LLC, was established on
October 17th 2008. The concept began with two individuals (Marina Brizendine and Tashia Weathers) whom had deep concerns for children with literary needs. Each of the ladies being mothers of two, had thought that with their child care backgrounds and parenting experience, they could help improve the reading habits of many children.
After many weeks of planning and research they found that the amount of students in need of tutoring and academic assistance was tremendous.
The ladies felt that is was their duty as child care providers and preschool instructors to do more for these children.
Marina Brizendine is currently a reading/math tutor at Dunn Elementary. She has worked as a preschool / daycare instructor for over 7 years.
Mrs. Brizendine also provided in-home care to the elderly for 3 years. She attended Western International University/Axia College.
Tashia Weathers, currently Director of Little Lambs Child Care Center, attended Sullivan University, and has been a child care provider/preschool instructor for over 9 years.
Their plan is to help children find a new love for reading. You can do anything if you can read. .

A.Bookworms Interactive Storytelling is a program developed by two mothers, wives and friends.
* Our goal is to work with children on a more personal level and bring the literature to life.
* Our focus is to introduce children to the arts outside of the book.
* Our plan is to work on story building and character organization, personal interpretation as well as story based arts and crafts. Enhancing the minds of young readers through imagination.
B. Enhancing the minds of young readers through imagination.
* The main purpose of this reading program is to bring to light the individuals that live within us.
* The reading program we offer is a great way for children to build on their reading comprehension, social interaction, personal interpretation and last but certainly not least a jump start to their future.
* Our curriculum consists of the following activities:
Storytelling: Age appropriate stories, 2-3, 4-5, 6-7, etc.
Performance/Visual Arts: Playwriting, acting, prop assembly and character organization.
Arts & Crafts: Story based craft projects, bookmarks, books, paint, etc.
Music: Stories through song, folk, instruments. (Spoons, Glass, Plastic).
Recognizing sounds through objects.
