Blissful Home Preschool & Daycare

My little ones love learning, and I know that yours will too! I offer a small, family-like learning environment. My goal is to provide a loving, home-like environment where children can learn independence, kindness and helpfulness, make new friends, develop academically, learn while having fun, and live joyfully!

A typical day for us involves story & song time, creative free play, learning our numbers & letters, arts & crafts, a nature walk or park visit when weather permits, practicing penmanship, reading and shapes, and occasionally watching age appropriate educational videos/shows. I believe in learning through play, and all activities are performed in a fun, structured environment. I believe that children learn better while having fun, and while also adhering to set guidelines, (which help to establish a sense of safety in children.)

Days: Monday - Friday; weekends by request only.

Times: Open from 6:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Preschool hours are 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Part-time hours in increments of 4 hrs or more a day can be arranged.

Fees: All fees must be paid by the Friday of the prior week no later than 5:30 p.m., and are set at $6.00/hour (with a minimum of 2 hours a day), $35/day up to eight hours, $40/day for up to nine hours, or $150/week.

Preschool Teacher/Provider:

I have over two decades of experience in teaching, tutoring, and working with children, and have taught all ages from infancy to high school. I have worked for numerous families, in several preschools, elementary, middle, and high schools as a Special Education Assistant, School Counselor, and After-School Counselor/Tutor for at-risk youth. My preschool curriculum is largely based upon Learning through Play and Montessori-style lessons. This style of learning allows children to explore, experiment, and have fun while still learning in a creative yet structured environment. I also have previous experience as the Regional Programs Director at the ASYMCA serving military families in need, as well as a Party Hostess at Chuck E. Cheese s. I have completed training in babysitting, CPR, & First Aid/AED.

I offer joy, patience, energy, laughter, guidance, a masters degree level learning environment, an optimistic attitude, and the right amount of positive redirection when needed. I have always known that I would work with children and have always LOVED it.
