Blessed Trinity Academy Early Childhood Center

Blessed Trinity Academy was established in July 2017, with the merger of the schools belonging to the parishes of St. Bonaventure, St. Mary and St. Ursula. BTA is located on 2 campuses with the Early Childhood Center located at the St. Bonaventure campus and Kindergarten through 8th grade located on the St. Mary campus. Following the rich tradition that was established by our merging schools, BTA continues to provide the highest quality Catholic education through keeping class sizes small & putting the academic focus on creating high level thinkers. Our classrooms are filled with hands on learning opportunities, while continuing to provide the critical foundation that all children need to succeed throughout their academic career. We are giving our students the skills they need to become the leaders of tomorrow.

Preschool 3 - must be 3 by September 1
The Preschool 3 Program introduces the child to the preschool setting. The children are encouraged to learn through experiences. Many activities such as storytelling, art, songs, games and science activities provide the child with opportunities to learn while at play. Short, formal lessons begin to introduce the child to some formal classroom structure. The development of basic math, language and reading skills as well as small and large motor skills are also an important part of the curriculum.

Pre-Kindergarten 4 - must be 4 by September 1
The Pre-Kindergarten 4 Program provides a great opportunity for 4 year olds to prepare for a more formal structured kindergarten classroom setting. Pre-reading, pre-math and other developmentally appropriate skills will be taken to the next level. The program will allow the student additional time to become more developed socially and intellectually as well as obtain the self-confidence needed to encounter new challenges as the year progresses.

Discovery:
Every child in the program will have the opportunity to learn about the world around them in a developmentally appropriate way through various activities. We focus on the study of people: how people live toda, how they lived in the past, how they work, get along with others, solve problems, shape & are shaped by their surroundings. In preschool, board games, learning centers or the challenges of riding on wheeled play equipment teach mapping skills. Children learn about time (history) from the daily predictable routines established -- the entrance routine, a story after snack, circle time or free play.
