I am retired and have experienced the joys of being a "dog person" for 54 years.
For 25 of them, I've bred and shown collies (in dog shows). I have whelped many litters, raised countless puppies and found them "forever homes", while enriching the lives of many families with their new family members. I have also owned many breeds.
If you are like me, you need to entrust your dogs to someone you feel comfortable with. This is why we insist on a "greet 'n meet" policy for the benefit of each of us.
My daughter is a preschool teacher and backs me up, when home.
My 4-legged assistant is a wonderful collie (think of Lassie) with a great personality and temperament. His assistant is a Chiweeni (1/2 chihuahua & 1/2 dachshund), We rescued her from the streets after apparent mistreatment.
