WELCOME!

Big & Little Home Daycare offers a safe and engaging childcare alternative for parents in the Aurora community. I offer a loving home environment where children have ample space to explore. I emphasize learning through play by introducing children to a variety of activities including art, music, movement and literature.

The children in my care are my first priority. I believe that serving their interests take precedence over any other task. My program encourages each person to grow and learn through active play and socialization. I believe my method of positive guidance provides children with the right balance of structure and freedom that fosters critical thinking, confidence and autonomy.

SERVICES:

I am currently offering daycare services on a full time, part time or drop in basis for children up to five years of age. Additionally, I offer special "date night" child care services one Saturday a month.

I follow a daily routine and utilize Daily Connect to communicate with parents about their child's day. Television and screen time is strictly limited and I encourage children to express their emotions and explore their world through creative avenues.

I am an avid cooker and offer homemade nutritious lunches and snacks. As a person that has food allergies, I am familiar with preparing foods that are gluten, diary, nut and egg free. During the summer season the children can learn to grow their own vegetables to be used in their meals in my backyard garden.

ABOUT ME:

My husband, son, cat, beagle and I live on the west side of Aurora. I have 14 years childcare experience caring for infants and children up to five years of age. I received my Associate in Arts from the College of DuPage in 2001 and a Bachelor of Science from Northern Illinois University in 2004. I take an active role in my education and participate monthly in early childhood education programs. I am CPR and First Aid trained and certified.

I have a cheerful disposition and I really love to find silver linings and laugh throughout the day. I several hobbies and activities in my spare time. I enjoy painting fine art, reading, knitting, crocheting, cooking, gardening, singing & music and any type of craft! My family is very active and we enjoy camping, fishing, and traveling.
