About
Better Together matches older adults with screened, compatible home seekers that rent out their spare bedroom while also helping to maintain their home. The older adults gets added income along with an increased sense of companionship, security, and independence. We make the process easy and seamless while at the same time matching the home owner with a safe and responsible individual who is compatible with their lifestyle and interests.
Most of our Home Seekers are graduate students who have undergone a rigorous screening process in order to be eligible to participate in the program.
The Home Seeker cannot be responsible for medical care. We are not a traditional care agency. The people we find are looking for a good home to live in at an affordable price and are willing to help around the home. Our Home Seekers are excited to learn from the guidance and wisdom of older adults. Though they are living in the home, they are not a substitute for 24-hour care. If your senior needs medical attention, we can be used alongside other providers as a means to afford more expensive care.
