Belmont Shore Children's Center

We at Belmont Shore Children’s Center believe in providing each child with a variety of experiences and opportunities to learn, create, and discover. Our program is socially and emotionally strong, thus providing our children with a healthy feeling of self-esteem and initiative. We encourage exploration, imagination, creativity, problem-solving, and appreciation for uniqueness and differences in personalities, abilities, and appearances. We have designed our program to be the essential base for later cognitive learning.

Belmont Shore Children’s Center is very proud of its program and we feel that with our curriculum, our caring and highly qualified staff, and our classroom setting, we provide our children with the healthy environment needed for optimal growth and discovery.

BSCC believes children learn best through play, and our curriculum incorporates both teacher initiated and child-initiated activities as well as small/large group activities.
Our curriculum is child-centered, providing experiences to enhance the child’s natural development in the areas of: music; art; STEAM; cooking; nutrition; social studies; critical thinking; community; multicultural awareness; and language arts skills.

Our Kindergarten Readiness Program is implemented in our Pre-Kindergarten/TK classes and was created to better prepare our students for their entry into Kindergarten. Our Pre-K/TK students will be experiencing many different areas of social interaction, group orientation, and academic preparation through age-specific lesson plans.
